Mr. Litvinov began his career working in juvenile court and handled juvenile detention, adjudication and disposition hearings. He understands the procedures, importance and goals of the juvenile justice system.
In addition, Attorney Litvinov handled Driving Under the Influence (DUI) cases and all related matters associated with their litigation. He is fully knowledgeable in the law of these complex matters and the special disposition and treatment options that are available to defendants charged with this offense.
Attorney Litvinov also has experience in appeal work. He has handled appeals to the Superior, Commonwealth, and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania.
Most importantly, Attorney Litvinov is a trial lawyer. He litigated countless misdemeanor and felony cases in front of judges and juries. He handled drug possession cases, and possession with intent to delivery, assault, robbery, burglary, theft, retail theft, fraud and an innumerable variety of other matters. He has experience with PFA violation court, as well as summary traffic and criminal citations. He has dealt with a variety of pretrial matters including motions to decrease bail, suppression and dismissal.
From 2013 to 2016, Attorney Litvinov was also an instructor at the Reading Police Academy where he put his experience to use teaching criminal law, suppression, and criminal procedure classes to future police officers.

Upon leaving the Berks County District Attorney’s Office, Attorney Litvinov has focused his law practice in criminal defense, family law, appeal work and estate planning. Attorney Litvinov has defended clients in all types of criminal cases, from minor misdemeanor charges to the most serious crime of all, murder. As a family law attorney, he has represented clients in all types of litigation including divorce, child custody, and child support. Attorney Litvinov has also taken on appeal cases. In 2018, Mr. Litvinov handled an appeal on behalf of a mother whose parental rights were involuntarily terminated. He successfully argued the case in front of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, which reversed the decisions of the lower courts and remanded the matter for a new hearing.

Attorney Igor Litvinov is the founder and practitioner at the Litvinov Law Firm. Attorney Litvinov grew up and went to school in Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Temple University and The Beasley (Temple) School of Law. Following law school, Mr. Litvinov moved to Reading, Pennsylvania where he now lives with his wife and children.
From 2007 to 2016, he worked at the Berks County District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney. In almost nine years as a prosecutor, he handled thousands of cases from their inception at investigation through the various stages of the judicial process. He represented the Commonwealth both at the district justice level and the trial court level.
